Photography

Lighting

Natural light is always best.  Interior pictures are best done in the early morning or evening since it prevents a large lighting difference between the inside of the house and light entering through windows.  This is very important because digital cameras have nowhere near the sensitivity of the human eye.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”231″ img_size=”full”][vc_single_image image=”233″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

HDR

This allows a closer approximation of all the visible colors you see with the naked eye.  Since even the most expensive digital cameras are still not as good as the eye, HDR allows the capture of several different photos at various settings which are then merged to create one picture that is more vibrant.  There are plenty of imitation HDR implementations, such as the kind on cell phones, but none match the quality of using expensive cameras with specialized software.

Lens Corrections

Digital cameras don’t have perfect optics.  They often create round distortions that are an unavoidable consequence of lenses.  This is fixed with software after the picture is taken.  Part of this correction also includes color distortion correction.  Without it, a client may see crooked surfaces when your brain knows that it should be straight.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”224″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”223″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Touch Up

Even the best cameras don’t always capture the best possible color range.  Most pictures need shadows lightened and colors made more vibrant.  I don’t use any automatic corrections because these are far from perfect – they exaggerate some areas excessively while saturating others.  Touch ups have to be done with a technical understanding or else it could look wrong on various displays or they will not print correctly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”229″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Digital Editing

Real Estate photos should look perfect, particularly when you’re trying to sell a house that isn’t complete!  Sometimes clouds need to be added to make it a sunny day.  Sometimes private information needs to be taken out of the photo.  Digital editing can be used to illustrate something the original picture cannot.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”226″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
